JUDGES FOR THE 2017 N.C.C.

Sarah Beane FWCF:

Sarah started shoeing in 2002. She apprenticed under Derek Gardner AWCF in Penrith, Cumbria. Sarah lives in Yorkshire, England.

Her shoeing area of horses are varied mainly hacks and eventers, dressage, and show horses. To keep it fun she also does a couple Clydesdales!

In 2011 Sarah passed her Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers and in 2015 she passed the Fellowship of The Worshipful Company of farriers.

Sarah loves all aspects of competing and how it helps you maintain everyday standards.

She has competed on the Scottish Team both as an apprentice and as a qualified farrier.

Kelly Vermeer Vella CJF:

Kelly started shoeing in 1987. She lives in Oakdale, Ca. She apprenticed under Emil Carre.
Kelly has many accomplishments such as: Top 5 in Calgary in 1997, 1998 AFA Silver Team, and top 10 at the Gentlemen’s Cup in France in 98.

She has competed in Canada, Australia, and France as well as many U.S. & local state competitions won.

Just recently Kelly was featured on the TV show “Forged in Fire” and she won being the First Female & First Female Farrier to win the show!

Raleigh Desiato CJF:

Raleigh has been shoeing horses for 16 years in the Angels Camp, California area.

She shoes dressage horses, reigning horses, barrel horses and trail horses.

Raleigh was on the WCB team in 2012 and she also went to England on the WCB team in 2014. Raleigh has been competing for 12 years. She has also had the privilege to have been asked to Judge many contests including the WCB & Australian Team Trials.

She most recently scored 2nd overall in the open in Kremmling, Colorado where she won the open shoeing!
